|
|
The International Tax Cooperation Officer plays a key role in assisting Anguilla to fulfill its international obligations related to tax transparency and cooperation. This includes supporting the effective administration of Exchange of Information (EOI) regimes such as the Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) - Common Reporting Standards (CRS), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), and others. The officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with international standards, contributing to policy development, and participating in negotiations for Tax Information Exchange Agreements (TIEAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy and Compliance: Assist in the development of policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure Anguilla's compliance with global tax transparency standards.
- Data Management: Monitor and analyze developments in international financial services, maintain accurate records, and prepare compliance reports.
- Liaison and Communication: Represent the government in discussions with treaty partners, international organizations, and domestic stakeholders.
- Research and Reporting: Conduct research, prepare reports, and provide briefings to management on tax transparency matters.
- Training and Outreach: Develop educational materials and participate in awareness sessions to promote domestic compliance.
